Description:
This batch maker tool will create a rendering batch file that takes three information from the Maya render layers:
Render layer name - which will be use as layer's name,
Render layer start and end frame number - the start and end frame of that rendering layer,
Type of renderer - Software or MentalRay.

 
 

Installation:
Simply copy the downloaded Mel script to
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\maya\2008\scripts\
source the script from Maya Script Editor and run it by typing zinBatchMaker and hit enter key
Compatible to Maya 7.x to Maya 2008.

 
  Usage:


1) Type the name of the batch file.

2) Hit Create Batch File and you will get a particle system built along with a number of nurbs spheres.

Tips:
The seems to be a problem when there is an instance objects inside the render layer. For some reason, the batch maker just fail to export correct information. The script only look into render layer name, render start and end frame and renderer used information. Therefore, other information you set in each render layer would still stay intact. As there is an update to Maya render layer after Maya 2008, I am not sure if this script will work.
