Description:
There are many times when I wanna to have selected vertices align to the same value of other selected vertice. This little tool make the jobs a little easier which I use a lot for modelling jobs.

  
 

Installation:
Simply copy the downloaded Mel script to
C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\maya\2008\scripts\
source the script from Maya Script Editor and run it by typing zinAlignVtx and hit enter key
Compatible to Maya 7.x and above.

  
 

Usage:


1) Select vertices you wanna to move and hit Select Vtx to move button.

2) Next, select one vertice from the same or any other objects. Hit Select target Vts to align.

3) Choose any of the Align X , Align Y and Align Z option.

4) Hit Apply setting to see the changes.

Tips:
Sometimes when I model half of the face. I needed to ensure the middle of the face to remain straight which makes mirroring the face easier.
